 Artist Audit: BT An idea I've been kicking around--instead of reviewing a single, album, or whatever promo crap an artist sends out, why not do an full-on review of an artist's entire career, to trace how far he's come and gone and where he's headed, and see if he really measures up against his contemporaries. Leadoff hitter for this new review department I like to call the Artist Audit: None other than Brian Wayne Transeau, aka BT.
 CD MIX REVIEW: Paul van Dyk: The Politics of Dancing 2 I wasn't intending to do this one. Recently something came within my radar: Apparently the objective folks down at Trancecritic were turned down an interview from the esteemed #1 DJ, Paul van Dyk, because his PR team disliked the way they gave his newest mix release an unfavorable review. Gotta shelter him from all the bad people, after all. That was enough to pique my curiosity: Let me have a go at it, and I'll give it my honest tongue-lashing critique. I shouldn't say I was dissapointed, because it was exactly what I expected it to be, it being trance, and he being #1, and if Trancecritic said it wasn't up to snuff, what hope did his mix have in my hands? Gee, you think Paul van Dyk will agree to do an interview with me now?
 DVD REVIEW: Tiesto in Concert! Like teasing a coiled cobra, the fellas down at Takeout Marketing decided that the best way to promote Tiesto's new DVD was to send me a copy for a big, glorying review that they could use for....ummmm....press releases or something.
